Ireland posts record investment fund sales as Brexit bites

According to central bank figures, net sales from investment funds based in Ireland topped €200bn during the first eight months of the year

The UK's impending exit from the EU has contributed to a record amount of investment assets being sold out of Ireland as Brexit continues to pose problems for the City.

According to the latest figures from the Central Bank of Ireland, net sales from investment funds based in Ireland topped €200bn during the first eight months of the year — the highest amount ever. Fund sales for the whole of last year were €139bn.
