Irish reserve fund drops by 3.8%

The value of the Irish Pensions Reserve Fund slipped by 3.8%, or €300m ($380m), in the three months to June 30 following the fall in equity markets in May.

The fund, which will partially finance Ireland's social welfare and public service pension costs from 2025, grew in value over the first half of the year to 1.3% despite the fall of 3.8% in the second quarter.
