Irish Reserve Fund rises to €16.6bn

The value of the Irish Pensions Reserve Fund grew by 5.4% in the first three months of the year bringing the total value of the fund to €16.6bn ($20.5bn).

Dr Michael Somers, chief executive of the National Treasury Management Agency, which runs the fund, attributed the growth to the strong performance of stock markets, particularly in Europe.
