ISE joins ranks of demutualised exchanges

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) has demutualised following the Securities and Exchange Commission's approval of the exchange's restructuring plan, making it easier to float.

The ISE, a fully electronic options exchange, has converted from a New York limited liability corporation, in which equity interests as well as trading rights are represented by single ownership interests, to a Delaware corporation, in which equity interests and trading rights are represented by different securities.
