Ispat lines up Europe's first junk bond of 2001

Ispat, the Dutch steel producer, will start marketing the first European junk bond offering of 2001 this week.

Ispat plans to issue €175m ($166m) of 10-year bonds and will start talks with European bond investors on Tuesday morning. The company has yet to set a final date for pricing, but is hoping to complete the deal within about two weeks. Credit Suisse First Boston is managing the issue.
