IT spending to remain flat in 2002

Global spending on IT will not increase until 2003, and budgets will be flat this year, down from the 2% growth seen at the beginning of 2002.

A new study by Merrill Lynch, comprising interviews with 75 US and 25 European chief information officers, found that European chief information officers are slightly more optimistic than their US counterparts.
