Kataweb, the Italian internet portal, has shelved its listing plans - reinforcing the perilous state of the European new issues markets, in particular for technology and internet stocks.
Analysts logged Kataweb's move as evidence of "yet another dot bomb gone", but said that the decision was unlikely to set back the bulging new issues pipeline for telecommunications in the Italian market. "I don't think Kataweb will be registering on the radar screens of investors in Italian telecoms," said one.
