Jamie Dimon, the chief executive of JPMorgan Chase, has been quizzed by the bank’s lead independent director over remarks he made disparaging Donald Trump.

Lee Raymond, the former head of ExxonMobil, talked to Dimon about claiming that he was “smarter” than the US president, according to someone briefed on the exchange.
