Janus Henderson profits decline as outflows continue

CEO argues firm’s investment returns are improving but there are still ‘pockets of underperformance’

Anglo-American asset manager Janus Henderson reported falling profits and further net outflows in the first quarter of 2019, continuing a difficult run for the firm.

Net profit dropped 43% to $94.1m, the company reported on May 2, compared with the same period a year ago. Adjusted for one-off acquisition-related costs, profits were down 23.4%.
