Japan and India are top targets

Asia is the place for private equity and hedge fund firms to seek outperformance at a time when other regions are saturated with capital, investors believe.

More than a quarter of investors in private equity think Japan and India are attractive regions for investment, according to a survey published by Almeida Capital, a consulting and research firm, at the Alternative Investment Roundup Europe conference in Marbella, Spain, last week. This is a higher rating than any other region achieved.
