Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is set to step down due to health reasons, according to reports in the Japanese media.

Abe, who became Japan’s longest serving prime minister by consecutive days in office on Monday, suffers from a chronic intestinal condition called ulcerative colitis.
