Top Jefferies execs waive bonuses

Richard Handler and Brian Friedman turned down combined bonuses of over $8.5m last year, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission

The two most senior executives at Jefferies waived combined bonuses of over $8.5m last year, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Richard Handler, chairman and chief executive of Jefferies, gave up a bonus of $4.9m, while Brian Friedman, chairman of the bank's executive committee, waived a $3.7m award.
