Jersey fund industry prospers amid downturn

The funds industry in Jersey, the UK offshore haven, is continuing to grow despite tough market conditions, with the number of funds serviced on the island increasing by more than 14% over the past year, according to figures from Fitzrovia International, the investment fund research company.

Funds serviced from Jersey now represent some $91bn (€92bn) of assets, up from $80bn in June last year.
