Boris Johnson to suspend Parliament weeks before Brexit: City reaction

UK prime minister Boris Johnson will shut down Parliament in the weeks before the country’s planned date of exit from the European Union.

The move — known as proroguing Parliament — greatly increases the chances that the UK will leave the bloc without a withdrawal agreement in place and comes a day after opposition party leaders agreed a  plan to prevent such an exit.
