JP Morgan Asset Management appoints currency officer

The manager has made an internal promotion to fill a vacancy left by the departure of its current investment chief

JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed a new investment chief for its currency management operations, following the departure of the current chief investment officer, and has made two hires to its global quantitative group.

Jonathon Griggs, currency chief investment officer for JP Morgan's global fixed income, currency and commodities group, has decided to leave the firm to "pursue another professional opportunity", according to the asset manager. Griggs did not respond to requests for comment.
