JP Morgan has lured a senior oils analyst, Mark Lacey, from the buyside to be part of its European oils research team after its senior oils analyst, Ed Westlake, left the US bank to join ABN Amro.
Lacey joined JP Morgan after a year at Mitsubishi Trust International, the Japanese trust bank. Prior to that he spent six years at Credit Suisse Asset Management in London and New York, where he covered the energy sector and managed the bank's natural resources and global energy funds.
