JP Morgan names top banker for China push

JP Morgan has hired one of the biggest names in Chinese banking for its business in the country as it looks to expand in the fast-growing market.

Elaine La Roche, a former chief executive of Morgan Stanley’s Beijing-based securities joint venture, China International Capital Corp, has joined JP Morgan as vice-chairman of its Chinese business in a sign of the bank’s move to become a bigger player in the country’s financial markets.
