JP Morgan has hired one of the biggest names in Chinese banking for its business in the country as it looks to expand in the fast-growing market.
Elaine La Roche, a former chief executive of Morgan Stanleyâs Beijing-based securities joint venture, China International Capital Corp, has joined JP Morgan as vice-chairman of its Chinese business in a sign of the bankâs move to become a bigger player in the countryâs financial markets.
