JP Morgan is involved on both sides of this year's biggest UK takeover, after Allied Domecq, the UK based drinks group, and Pernod Ricard of France confirmed they were in merger talks.

JP Morgan is one of three banks advising Pernod Ricard, while JP Morgan Cazenove, the bank's UK corporate finance arm, is joint corporate broker to Allied Domecq alongside Citigroup.
