JP Morgan banker to steer Jefferies’ UK strategy

Jefferies has hired JP Morgan’s former head of UK equity capital markets to lead its expansion efforts in UK investment banking, according to people familiar with the appointment.

Jonathan Wilcox, who joined JP Morgan in 2001 and stepped down from his role as head of UK ECM to focus on coverage in 2013, will join Jefferies as head of UK investment banking in September, the people said.
