Investment banks in Paris will make more staff work from home again after a spike in coronavirus infections in the city prompted the French government to increase its alert to maximum.

JPMorgan, which has around 250 staff in the French capital, intends to pause its plan to bring more employees into its Paris office, according to a person familiar with the matter. The bank had around 50% of staff to date on rotation, largely in investment banking.
