JPMorgan told staff in England to start returning to the office in greater numbers from 1 February, as the City prepares for an influx of staff after Covid-19 restrictions were lifted.

The US investment bank, which has been among the most progressive at asking staff to return to its Canary Wharf headquarters, said in a 21 January memo that it expects employees to spend at least some time in the office from next month.
