JPMorgan Chase has promoted Don Wilson to chief risk officer, leaving Bill Winters in sole charge of its global credit and rate markets business, as part of a string of executive changes at the US bank.

The new appointments follow the departures of vice-chairmen Marc Shapiro and Thomas Ketchum from JPMorgan Chase. Both are retiring from investment banking.
