JPMorgan juniors see bonus cuts as banks rein in pay costs

Last year, JPMorgan paid between 90% to 100% of salary as a bonus for first- and second-year analysts. Now, it's between 45% to 60%

JPMorgan has cut back bonuses for junior bankers this year following successive salary hikes at the Wall Street bank over the past 12 months.

The US investment bank announced bonuses for its analysts on 1 August. Juniors told Financial News a day later that variable pay was between 45% to 60% of salary, depending on performance.
