JPMorgan hires from Citi for European mid-market push

The move is indicative of big banks’ interest in ‘reinvigorating’ their business by targeting smaller deals

JPMorgan has recruited a banker from Citigroup as part of its push to win more mid-market deals from European rivals on their home turf.

JPMorgan has named Catherine Pierre as head of UK corporate client banking and specialised industries. Pierre, who will lead a new team, joined JPMorgan in July, the bank confirmed.
