Matthew Beesley has been in the top job at Jupiter Asset Management for less than a week but has taken the decision to cull a third of its funds and rejig the chief investment officer role.

The FTSE 250 asset manager will axe, merge or reposition about 30 of its 100 funds, according to Bloomberg, which cited people familiar with the matter.
