Jupiter Fund Management has become the latest big-name asset manager in the UK to reveal it will stop charging its clients for investment research.

Maarten Slendebroek, Jupiter's chief executive, told FN the move was aimed at "getting ahead" of new European market regulations known as Mifid II, which will overhaul research payments. To date these have been made directly out of investors' funds.
