UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will recommend workers continue to stay at home in a bid to contain the latest outbreak of Covid-19's Omicron strain.

As many businesses hoped that the Christmas break and a booster jab rollouts would see workers and customers return in person, the government looks set to stay that course with its current guidance to work remotely if possible.
