Citigroup has strengthened its alternative investments division with the appointment of former Deutsche Asset Management executive Simon Kempton. He joins as a managing director and global business manager of liquid alternative investments, and chief administrative officer for Europe.

Kempton was chief operating officer of DeAM, the UK asset management business of Deutsche Bank, before leaving earlier this year. He had been with Deutsche since 1997.
