Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co has hired a group of proprietary traders from Goldman Sachs to form a new long-short equity hedge fund.

The trading team, led by Bob Howard, will join the private equity firm in January after unwinding their proprietary trading business at Goldman, a KKR spokesman said.
