US buyout firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts is building a global team to enter the infrastructure sector and is expected to start raising its first infrastructure fund.
The firm has hired George Bilicic, the former managing director at Lazard in charge of power, energy and infrastructure investments, as managing director and head of infrastructure. He advised TXU on KKRâs $45bn (â¬29bn) acquisition of the Dallas-based energy company last year.
