Kleinwort Capital, formerly the private equity arm of investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, has appointed Sam Watkinson as an investment director, the first of several new appointments expected in 2005.

Watkinson has joined from Aberdeen Murray Johnstone Private Equity's London office, where he has been an investment director with responsibility for mid-market transactions in the UK since July 2000.
