Knight Capital has selected three new directors, including the chief executive of TD Ameritrade, three weeks after Knight received a $400m injection from outside investors, according to people familiar with the matter.

TD Ameritrade chief executive Fred Tomczyk has been selected to join the brokerage firm's board, effective immediately following an announcement that could happen as early as Tuesday, the people said.
