KPMG and partner under fire again in Silentnight saga

KPMG has hit back at the FRC claiming that the allegations are “wholly without merit”

The audit firm KPMG is once again under fire from the sector’s regulator, this time over its work on the acquisition rescue of bed manufacturer Silentnight in 2011.

The Financial Reporting Council, the UK’s auditing watchdog, said in a statement on  November 22 that it had issued a formal disciplinary complaint against KPMG and David Costley-Wood, one of the firm’s partners, for work carried out for bed manufacturer in 2011.
