Kvaerner details rights issue rescue plan

Kvaerner, the troubled Norwegian engineering and construction company, has revealed the terms of what it hopes will be a long-term solution to its financing problems.

The plan involves a Nkr3bn (€376m) rights issue, the conversion of Nkr4.5bn in debt into convertible bonds and exemption for Kvaerner from the repayments on existing loans for three years.
