Kweku Adoboli, the former trader who lost UBS $2.3bn through unauthorised trading, avoided being detained for deportation from the UK on Monday 20, according to his Twitter account.

Adoboli, who was born in Ghana but has lived in the UK since he was 12, had feared he could be deported upon checking in for his regular report to the Home Office on August 20 — after the failure of his latest attempt to overturn 2014 tribunal ruling that he be sent back to Ghana.
