When a headhunter called Brian Heyworth to ask if he would like to help run Lansdowne Partners, it was “an incredibly easy decision to make”, he says.

After more than 30 years in the City, the latest five at HSBC Asset Management, he felt he had one more big job in him. “And it was pretty clear I wasn’t going to be the next CEO of HSBC.”
