NYSE Euronext has 'healthy' IPO pipeline

There are 118 initial filings for companies that plan to list on US exchanges, and COO Larry Leibowitz is confident of attracting a large chunk to the platform

Larry Leibowitz, chief operating officer of NYSE Euronext, said that the exchange’s initial public offering pipeline was "very healthy", with a large number of companies tipped to go public over the next two years.

Leibowitz, speaking at the UBS Global Financial Services Conference, said that 118 companies had made initial filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, indicating that they could go public on NYSE Euronext's exchange. He said: "The IPO pipeline is very healthy, with companies still coming to the market at a hefty pace and the number of companies talking about going public in the next year or two quite strong."
