Late investment performance results drag down 2000 median

Bad news, as ever, has travelled slowly. Poor performances only recently delivered by UK fund managers has pushed Financial News' median estimates for the performance of mixed pooled pension funds in 2000 down to -3.1%.

The early receipt of good performances, including a chart topping result from UBS-owned Phillips & Drew, put the initial FN estimate at -1.6%.
