Lattice Group, IBM, and Scottish Power have topped an index that rates companies and industries on their environmental management and performance.

The Business in the Environment's (BiE) sixth Corporate Environmental Engagement index surveyed 205 companies, including 83 of the FTSE 100. The companies constitute 83% of the FTSE 350 by value, a total or around £1 trillion (€1.6 trillion).
