A fierce pay battle for top legal talent is on the way, according to partners and recruiters, who say rivals could top even the bumper $115,000 junior bonuses unveiled by Wall Street bellwether Cravath Swaine & Moore.

Cravath kicked off the sector's end-of-year bonus season on 22 November by hiking the top of its payout scale from $100,000 to $115,000.
