Laxey threatens Genesis with court action

Laxey Partners, the activist investment firm run by Colin Kingsnorth, has told directors of a $500m (€380m) emerging markets fund that it may take it to court if it does not agree to buy back more of its shares.

Kingsnorth has complained that the Genesis Chile Fund, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, has rejected its call for the buy-backs without adequate explanation.
