Lazard has hired Sven Peter, a former co-head of equity capital markets at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, as part of a drive to build up its German investment banking operations.

Peter will join Lazard's Frankfurt office as a senior adviser, and is the fourth such adviser to be snapped up by the bank this year, and the second to be based in Germany. Peter left DrKW in March, and was the last of a group of three former ECM co-heads to leave the bank, after Andy Edmond and James Miller moved on last year.
