Lazard has hired Matthieu Pigasse as a managing director for its Paris office, where he will be responsible for developing its international client base and for liaising with the Lazard network of offices on cross-border transactions.

Pigasse is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration and joins Lazard from the ministry of finance where he has held a variety of posts since 1994. He spent four years as the assistant to the head of treasury and monetary policy at the Treasury before transferring to an audit and inspection unit for state-owned companies.
