LDC latest to buy into travel

Software play follows hot interest in the leisure sector from UK buyout firms in the last few years

LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, has bought a travel software business from London-listed Anite Group for £45 million, becoming the latest UK buyout firm to look to the leisure sector for deals.

In a statement on Friday, LDC said it had bought Anite Travel following a competitive process and would back the firm's current management, including managing director Mike Kingswood, in a buyout.
