Leading analyst talks up 'Morgan merger'

One of Wall Street's leading banking analysts has raised the possibility that JP Morgan Chase and Morgan Stanley, which were forced to split by lawmakers more than 70 years ago, may reunite.

Michael Mayo of Prudential Equity Group wrote in a note to clients, seen by Financial News: "We are raising the possibility of a merger between JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley.'
