Lehman Brothers' real estate arm and Ratos, a quoted Swedish private equity firm, have joined forces to buy Tornet, a listed Swedish property company, in a recommended cash offer worth SKr4.914bn (€543m).
The SKr190-a-share offer is Sweden's largest take-private this year, and values Tornet at SKr18.7bn once debt is included. Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners will take a 60% stake of the equity and Ratos will take 40%.
