Lehman Brothers has landed high-profile lawyer Bill Tudor John from Allen & Overy as managing director and chairman of the European commitment committee.

Tudor John is set to take up his newly created position at the end of the month after 33 years with the London law firm, where he was a senior partner. Lehman approached Tudor John when he left Allen & Overy unexpectedly following a failed re-election bid for senior partner.
