Lehman Brothers has announced several senior appointments in Japan as part of its drive to expand its investment banking franchise in Asia.

Katsuhiko Kobayashi joins the bank as head of debt capital markets, while Harry Murakami becomes head of mergers and acquisitions and Kenro Arimoto joins as a senior coverage officer within the financial institutions group.
