Legal and General Investment Management, the UK’s largest fund management company, has hired the European head of rival Columbia Threadneedle as its next chief executive.

Michelle Scrimgeour, who has been at the helm of Columbia Threadneedle’s business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa since 2017, was announced as Mark Zinkula’s replacement on February 25.
