Boutique picks ex-Close Brothers banker for debt advisory launch

Restructuring specialist joins US advisory frim in London as a wall of corporate debt maturities looms

US advisory boutique Lincoln International has hired a former Close Brothers managing director to build a debt advisory business in the UK, as companies increasingly look to access the capital markets to sell bonds and a wall of corporate debt maturities looms.

Jonathan Broome has been appointed as managing director and head of debt advisory in London and will start in January, according to a source familiar with the situation. He is expected to begin hiring bankers for the team early next year.
